The William Smith International Performance Scholarship exists to advance music education for talented young musicians studying at the Royal College of Music.

The Scholarship administers and co-ordinates the provision of music tuition and youth music activities for many young people. In addition to this, the Scholarship also supports the development of music education through a wide range of music making opportunities, including concert performances, workshops, projects and courses.

The Scholarship is an investment in a young person’s future, enabling talented and deserving students to gain the distinctive, lifelong benefits of a Royal College of Music education. Its association with the International Performance Programme ensures that Scholarship students acquire the combination of knowledge, abilities, outlook and values that will be required of tomorrow’s performers.
